Belgian Session Ale
Granero Blanco is a Brett-fermented Saison that has been aged in Chardonnay barrels for over a year. The base beer is dry and crisp, with a distinct barnyard earthiness and overtones of tropical fruit that developed as a result of the Brettanomyces fermentation. During the time spent in the barrel, the beer picked up notes of vanilla and a slight tannic quality reminiscent of the white wine that previously inhabited it’s resting place. Light and drinkable, but deeply complex, each sip of this beer peels away another layer of flavors from the lengthy process of fermentation and aging.
