Job Description
Wanderlust Brewing Company is looking for a full-time taproom manager and brand ambassador to add to our small team of motivated individuals. This is a hands-on position with plenty of learning and growth potential.
Position Summary
The chosen candidate will be responsible for all customer-facing aspects of the business. This includes managing taproom operations and staff, serving as a bartender 2-3 days a week plus at festivals and special events, organizing taproom music and events, developing the Wanderlust Brewing brand through taproom and merchandise design and social media presence, and cultivating relationships with regional bars and restaurants. Occasional duties related to brewing operations may also be required as a member of the team.
This job is a full-time position split approximately 50% as a server during operating hours, and 50% on taproom, branding and customer relationship management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizing events and entertainment for the taproom
- Training and monitoring performance of Taproom Staff
- Creating weekly schedules of employee shifts
- Monitoring stock of merchandise and placing orders with vendors
- Monitoring stock of taproom supplies and placing orders with vendors
- Communicating with production staff about upcoming beer release schedules
- Updating beer board and menus
- Cleaning the taproom and organizing furniture to accommodate production schedules
- Assisting with social media posts including facebook, instagram and twitter accounts related to the brewery
Necessary Skills and Background
- Previous serving and/or bartending experience
- Arizona Liquor Server Training (can be coordinated through brewery)
- Coconino County food handler certification (can be coordinated through brewery)
The Ideal Candidate Would Have
- Experience working at a bar or restaurant which served craft beer, managerial experience preferred
- Previous staff management experience
- Familiarity with Social Media
