I apologize to those of you who don’t follow us on Twitter or Facebook, you’ve been out of the loop on Arizona Beer Week! We started the week off at the Arizona Strong Beer Festival on saturday, and then a festival at Boulders on Broadway on Sunday. I’m a little late on the draw for this one, but hopefully we’ll see some more new faces this week with some events at the brewery.
Our big event for the week is actually tonight (tuesday night) with our friends Brad and Sheena from Drive Nacho Drive. They’re in town while their VW bus gets shipped to Malaysia for the next leg of the journey, and so they’re going to give us some insight into their trip so far.
Here’s the event poster for it:
It’s going to be a ton of fun, and they have some amazing pictures to share. We’re going to open the doors to the taproom around 4, and Fratelli’s pizza is going to have their pizza truck outside and start to serve sometime around 5. The show should start around 7-7:30 tonight.
We’re also doing an event tomorrow (wednesday) night at Hops on Birch that is going to one that you won’t want to miss. I’ll be there for a little ‘meet the brewer’ session, and am bringing along a keg of saison which was aged in a red wine barrel for a couple months. It’s an amazing beer which clocks in at a little over 9% and has an amazing wood and wine flavor with it. We’ll be tapping the keg around 6:00 tomorrow night, so definitely make it by if you can.
Then thursday and friday we’re back to our regular taproom hours, so make sure to stop by and say hello!
